My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.
Psalm 27:8 (NIV)

There are many who are after God’s hand, or His provision, but the Psalmist is going much farther—he is after God’s face. This imagery portrays intimacy, conversation, and connection. Don’t let the demands that life brings keep you from what God is after. We want to be pragmatic and resolve our problems, but God wants us to know Him and, in the process, become like Him. A relationship with God is much more than spiritualpragmatism; God wants to change us with His beauty.
